On November 30, 2025, TUM President Prof. Thomas F. Hofmann presented seven TUM Research Alumni with the TUM Ambassador certificate of honor in front of around 2,000 guests at the annual TUM Advent concert in the Isarphilharmonie in Munich.
Every year, TUM welcomes scientists from all over the world who spend shorter or longer periods of time at our institutes and research facilities. Together with TUM professors, they work and conduct research on groundbreaking projects for the future.

Once a year, the president awards the honorary title of “TUM Ambassador” to those who have particularly enriched TUM during their stay with their scientific expertise and international experience.
