Patron Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus

Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus took over the patronage of the Women of TUM in 2019. She holds the Chair of Research and Science Management at TUM and was appointed Executive Vice President for Talent Management and Diversity in 2017. Since 2019, she is also the Founding Director of the TUM Institute for LifeLong Learning. Prof. Dr. Claudia Peus was included in the list of “Germany’s Most Inspiring Women” in 2020.

On her professional journey, she has learned a great deal from inspiring women. A message from a manager continues to resonate with her:

“Stay true to yourself. Don’t be pressured into a career or job. Don’t make career decisions based solely on money, status, or title.”

Founding Patron Dr. Hannemor Keidel

Dr. Hannemor Keidel is the Founding Patron of the Women of TUM (2009-2019). A political scientist and TUM Alumna (PhD 1973), she became TUM’s first female Vice President in 2000, responsible for international relations and the alumni network. In 2011, she took on the new role of Vice President for Talent Management and Diversity, and in 2014 she was appointed the President’s Representative for the Hochschule für Politik, shaping its strategic reorientation.

Dr. Hannemor Keidel attributes her success at the University to her perseverance:

“I have learned to always maintain my curiosity and to occasionally also be willing to take a stand for something and fight for it.”
