TUM Visit: 2021 as part of the Winter School led by Professor Christian Große, Chair of Non-Destructive Testing

 

TUM-Host Professor Christian Große:

“His excellency Hany Helal is an internationally recognized expert in the fields of geotechnics, engineering geology and fracture mechanics and a pioneer of a scientific-physical based approach to investigate objects of our cultural heritage using non-destructive testing techniques.“

 

TUM-Ambassador Professor Hany Mahfouz Helal:

“We formed a TUM-Cairo University joint to investigate some potential location in the Great Pyramid. The main idea was to build the capacity of the Egyptian team while doing measurements. A summer and a winter school were organized and capacity building of Egyptian students was enhanced. Plans for investigating other pyramids is under implementation.”
